Imagine an AI writing assistant developed by a speechwriter with deep experience in executive communications, designed to solve many of the problems traditional LLMs face when generating thought leadership.
This wouldn’t be just another ChatGPT wrapper—it would be an agentic, structured AI built specifically for high-level strategic writing.
We're seeking an experienced, senior front-end developer to join our startup building the future of writing with AI. You'll be the front-end lead working closely with one other full stack developer, turning UX wireframes into polished, production-ready interfaces aimed at desktop users.
What you'll build:
- Sophisticated chat interfaces for LLM interactions with proper state management
- Complex modal systems and multi-step user flows
- Real-time feedback mechanisms for AI model outputs
- Intuitive prompt engineering tooling and creative writing interfaces
- Responsive, accessible UI components that handle edge cases gracefully
What you'll own:
- Converting UX wireframes into pixel-perfect React components
- Implementing best practices for LLM interface design (conversation history, streaming responses, error handling)
- State management across complex user flows
- Performance optimisation for real-time AI interactions
- Collaboration with backend APIs (Go/Python stack)
Must-haves:
- 4+ years React experience with modern hooks, context, and state management
- Proven track record building chat/conversational interfaces
- Experience with complex modal systems and user flow retention
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation
- Portfolio showing clean, intuitive UI design execution.
Huge plus:
- Previous work on LLM/AI interfaces (ChatGPT-style, creative tools)
- Experience with streaming data and real-time updates
- Understanding of creative writing workflows
- Startup experience in fast-moving, small teams
